The Second Treasure: Divine Mantra (Ten Characters Mantra)

口訣就是方才道師所傳的無字真經：

這無字真經並非「無字」，而是蘊含著天機，所以又叫口傳心印之法，也因為這十字蘊含天機，所以我們大家都「不可洩漏」！

祖師開示：十字真經的涵義甚廣，無法以文字幾句說盡，簡言之，有以下十點：

一、         用在三寶則是「口訣」。

二、         用在人身則是「玄關」。

三、         用在合同則是「雙手交叉」。

四、         用在天地則是「十方」、「四方六合」。

五、         用在萬物則「真理」，十字之中成一點，由一點而散十方（萬殊）。

六、         用在行為則是「道德」，經為道，緯為德。

七、         用在世間則是「經緯」，直為經，橫為緯。

八、         用在人事則表示「圓滿」。

九、         用在事理則是「陰陽」。

十、         用在修持方面，則是「統四端兼萬善」           

口訣即是與佛通訊的密語，人生在世難免碰到危難或不可抗拒的災劫，此時倘若一心持 十字真經，三寶合用，自然能感應仙佛前來搭救，逢凶化吉、遇難呈祥，所以今天得這口訣，千萬不可輕忽，倘若輕忽，就是輕視自己的生命。

然而「劫難」也不僅是指外來的災變，其實真正劫難，乃源於生死輪迴的種子，一個心念無明，即是一個生死，所以我們也可以藉著默唸口訣來降伏我們不好的念頭，妄念不起就不造生死業，不落輪迴。

受持口訣的另外一個意義，也是在啟發修子常存慈悲勸化人心，使眾生覺悟人生的根本，去惡向善，克盡人倫大道，達到成仙成佛的目的。

白陽期十字真經貫三天，受持十字真經，一心清淨，廣為人說大道普傳之殊勝，宣揚真理，有不可思議之功德，所以大家得了口訣也要像仙佛一樣口碑載道，廣度眾生。

   在青陽期與紅陽期的時後，因天時機運的關係，當時明師所傳的口訣與現今白陽期並不相同：

The Second Treasure: Divine Mantra (Ten Characters Mantra)

A Ten Characters Mantra was recited and passed on to you by the Taoist priest without written words today.

This Mantra is really not “without words”, but it contains a suttle Heavenly secret, it is also known as oral teaching inspiring self-enlightening. Due to the fact that this Ten Characters Mantra contains a Heavenly secret, therefore we all should always keep in mind, “Do Not Leak the secret”!

The Patriarch disclosure: The Ten Characters Mantra has a broad meaning, it cannot be fully extended, in short, it contains the ten points of disclosure as follows:

1. Applies in the Three Treasure is "Divine Mantra".

2. Applies in the human being is “Mystery Portal".

3. Applies in the contract seal is "Hands cross each other".

4. Applies in the Heaven and Earth is "Ten  directions" or, “Four directions with up and down gets six combination”.

5. Applies in all things is "truth", a center point of cross, expanses to all directions (all things created).

6. Applies in the human behavior means "Morality"  or “Tao Te” in Chinese spelling, Tao as longitude, Te as latitude.

7. Applies in the world is "longitude and latitude", vertical for longitude, horizontal for latitude.

8. Applies in human affairs represents a "satisfactory".

9. Applies in the affair principle is "Yin and Yang".

10.Applies in cultivation, is "interconnect all four directions with all good deeds".

Mantra is the secret words for communicating with the Buddha, Our lives would inevitably encountered distress or irresistible disasters, if we meditate the ten character Mantra in mind, and excise it together with three treasures then, it would naturally induct Buddha comes to rescue, turn distress to propitious and turn disaster to auspicious.

Therefore, we should not overlook the Divine Mantra you received today. If you overlooked it, it is to despise your own life.

However, “Disaster” does not only refer to external disaster. The real disaster is derived from the seed of reincarnation, the thought of ignorance, that is between life and death, so we can subdue our evil thoughts by meditating mantra, no delusion would end retributions of life and death, and consequently it would prevent us from falling into reincarnation.

Another significance meaning of holding the Mantra, is to kindly advise and inspire others to do good deeds, lead them to be conscious of a meaningful life, let go evil thoughts and turn towards goodness, abiding dedication to the great humanity, eventually achieve the immortality to of Buddhahood.

In White Yang Period the ‘Ten Words of Divine Mantra’ extends through the three worlds. Any person receives and practice the “Ten words of Divine Mantra” with absolute tranquility in mind, widely preach the truth of Tao to public, and disseminate truth, there is an incredible merit. Therefore everyone received the Mantra should follow the same steps as the Buddha to spread the message of Tao, and save more living beings ashore. 

Due to the changing in time, the Mantra preached by the Enlightened Master in the White Yang Period is not the same as in the past during the Green Yang and Red Yang Period:
