What is Merit Fee?

求道當天大家所了愿的財施，稱為「功德費」，一生只交一次。既然叫做功德費，顧名思義也就是在幫大家作功德。我們知道，自古修行必須功果圓滿方可得道，而今我們功德淺薄，何德何能得此大道，尤其在災難頻傳的三期末劫，又是業力加速討報的大清算年，無功無德如何躲劫避難，所以法律主規定求道需繳功德費，讓每一位剛求道的人，無論大人或小孩，都能行功立德，並且要先了解功德費的用意，方能求道，以免產生不必要的誤解。此外，現在人終日奔波名利，忘記了比金錢更重要的生命價值。常言道『施比受更有福』，如果我們無意交功德費，那麼便無法求道、得道，這也是上天的用意，要藉此考驗大家對求道的誠心，有了誠心才有將來可能的成就。

而這些功德費不是要分給在場的辦道人員，也不是可以隨意揮霍，乃是要叩呈師處，集中作整體的運用來弘揚九蓮聖道，讓更多的人上岸，剛才我們的引保二師也先您之前跪在佛前立誓，保證不會誑哄求道人錢財，並且呈奏上天的龍天表，也記載了各位發心的詳細數目，大家盡可放心。從今之後願大家以赤誠的心感謝天恩師德，好好修道。

What is Merit Fee?

On the day when the ceremony formality takes place, one has to render a fee for acquiring the message of Tao.

This is known as the merit fee, which is rendered once in a lifetime only.

As the name explains, it helps in doing good deeds.

As we know in ancient times, one has to understand and cultivate the essence of Great Tao before gaining the deserved merit.

But in this present time, our merits are considerably shallow to attain the essence of Great Tao first, especially in this White Yang Period, where disasters and karma are accelerating correlatively.

Without much merits attained how do one expect to avoid adverse disasters? Thus, the Heavenly Law Enforcer stipulated that a minimum sum of merit fee is to be rendered for acquiring the essence of Great Tao.

To each and every person who acquired the message of Tao, be it an adult or a child, must understand its meaning and intention of this merit fee, to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding.

Nowadays, people are more driven for fame, power, wealth and luxuries that they have forgotten the value of life and its significance.

As the common saying goes ‘it is a blessing to give than to receive’.

If there is no sincerity to render any merit fee, there is no possibility of acquiring the message of Tao.

This is the Heaven’s intention to test our sincerity.

With sincerity, there is hope to cultivate the essence of Tao in future with achievement.

The rendered merit fees are not used to share among the group members who have done the formality ceremony or to splurge freely by any individual member, but instead to use to inform more people on the essence of Great Tao, so that they can be saved spiritually.

Both the spiritual guide and spiritual guardian have vowed and promised in front of Buddha not to deceive or coax new comers to give more against their free wills as fees rendered are based on their sincerities.

In addition, such rendered amounts are also recorded in The Heaven. Please rest assured of it.

From now on, we must be grateful to God with our sincerity and let us work hard to cultivate the essence of Great Tao.
